Traveling represents a great moment of personal growth for an individual, so it is important to be well prepared for this moment. In fact, traveling requires clothing that is comfortable and appropriate for the context in which we find ourselves, but without sacrificing beauty and style.

The key is to strike a balance between practicality and fashion, making sure you have everything you need for every occasion without overloading your suitcase. Here’s a guide on what to pack to always be stylish during your travels.

Planning well in advance

When it comes to travel, the most important thing is to plan well in advance for everything we want to do and therefore all the clothes we will need.

First of all, let’s be well informed about the weather, which means checking the weather forecast for the days when we will be visiting our destination, possibly even detailing the expected temperatures. This will enable you to choose appropriate clothing and avoid bringing completely unnecessary clothes with you.

Now that you are well informed, make a list. Making lists, in general, is a very useful practice to encourage organization, without wasting time and risking forgetting something. Include clothes that are appropriate for every moment: from walking, to relaxed dinners, to leisure, to more elegant dates.

Essential clothing the key to success

The key to a wardrobe that is always stylish even while traveling is to select a few items, very basic, but that are essential and versatile.

From example a polo shirt, with neutral colors, can be in many different situations: from a walk in the mountains, to a visit to a museum, from dinner with friends, to a drink at the beach. Like this example there are many others, such as light and comfortable pants, or even Bermuda shorts.

Also add a more formal outfit, which is therefore suitable for more elegant evenings, dinners in particularly important places or starred restaurants that require a certain dresscode.

Finally, remember to pay attention to layers. Layers are essential for traveling in any season. Carry a lightweight cardigan, denim jacket, or leather jacket for cooler evenings. These items can be easily paired with other clothes and keep you warm without adding too much weight to your suitcase.

Use your accessories intelligently

Accessories are your friend and can revolutionize an outfit with very few touches and elements. Starting with shoes, these can take up a lot of space in a suitcase, so choose wisely a spare pair that is comfortable for walking, pairing them perhaps with another, more elegant pair. The former will be essential for leisure, the latter for dinners or more formal moments.

Belts can also help change an outfit completely, even better if they are interspersed with suspenders. Indeed, suspenders are a very functional yet stylish solution, giving you a chance to stand out from the mass of clothes that are all the same.

Jewelry or watches can also add that extra touch that changes an outfit. For example, a light summer dress that you can wear during the day, with an appropriate necklace and a pair of earrings becomes a perfect formal evening dinner outfit.

What to pack

We have already seen more or less what you could put in your suitcase to always have a stylish outifit, but let’s therefore give a more immediate and quick list.

Definitely include a white shirt, this suits so well in so many contexts, from hot summer days, to evening aperitifs, also with a jacket over it goes well in colder contexts. Also add some chino pants, suitable for a bit of all situations too, plus they are very comfortable and light.

Pack a quality pair of t-shirts; they are easy to carry around and use during leisure time. If they are also monochrome, they can pair well with a cardigan to cover up when it gets colder.

In the winter months also put on some sweaters, with a shirt underneath, which will always be the same, you can easily change your appearance.
